We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Temporary Caregiver to join our team in Pelzer, SC.

Will be providing exceptional support and care to individuals in various care settings. Duties

• Assist residents or patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration to track health status
• Support medication administration following HIPAA guidelines and care plans established by healthcare professionals
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols
• Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident’s <PERSON>; for safe transfers and mobility assistance
• Observe and report changes in residents’ or patients’ conditions, including symptoms related to dementia, Alzheimer’s, autism, or other developmental disabilities
• Document care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies
• Provide emotional support through engaging conversation, companionship, and activity facilitation to promote mental well-being
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and follow personalized care plans

Experience

• Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge of patient observation techniques and vital signs monitoring
• Hands-on experience with medication administration and care planning processes
• Familiarity with dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, hospice care, or working with individuals with disabilities is advantageous
• Experience performing patient monitoring tasks such as vital signs assessment or working with specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality of patient information
• Previous roles involving social work or home & community care provide valuable insight into holistic caregiving approaches
• Ability to handle heavy lifting safely while assisting residents or patients during transfers or mobility activities
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams and family members
